Who Am I?

I'm Alessia. An energetic, creative and hardworking person who has a passion for using technology to enhance people's day-to-day lives. Currently in the final year of the double degree master of EIT Digital Master School Human Computer Interaction Technology and Design at the University of Trento (European Institute of Innovation & Technology). Projects

Brain Computer Interface

We developed an adaptive version of PacMan that adjusts its game mechanics based on the balance of cognitive workload and engagement of the participant. We worked with a Unicorn headset to measure the EEG data.

Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy for Train Staff

Safety in trains has been a highly public issue at NS and other train providers. The solution we created is a controlled virtual train environment where NS personnel can be gradually and safely guided back into the train again. Exposure therapy is a proven cognitive behavior therapy method which helps patients face their fears in a controlled environment.

Explaining Vehicle to Grid (V2G) through Animation

I conducted my bachelor thesis at the company Enodes. The topic was about explaining the concept of Vehicle-to-Grid, which refers to using electric cars as a buffer for the electricity grid in the Netherlands. The animation elements were created in Adobe Illustrator and the Animation was made in Adobe After Effects.

Redesigning Workspace with Maya & Unity

For a project in my bachelor, I created a workspace within Maya and Unity.

Young Solar Competition

With a team of seven, we built a solar boat from scratch and competed in the national Young Solar Boat Challenge.
